Album Notes Blackhawk includes: Eric Silver (acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo); Van Stephenson, Greg Jennings (acoustic guitar); Dale Oliver, Dann Huff (electric guitar); Joe Spivey (fiddle); Dave Robbins (piano, keyboards); Dennis Belfield (bass); Bobby Huff (drums, percussion); Terry McMillan (percussion). Recorded at Midtown Tone and Volume Recording Studios, Nashville, Tennessee. Blackhawk's LOVE & GRAVITY mixes some good-time-music with songs about those bad times, ballads for a lost lover or lonely heart. LOVE & GRAVITY has a Big-Country sound with strong background vocals and poppy guitar solos. "Post Marked Birmingham" is the Blackhawk sound at its best. Incorporating strings and piano, the song is sensitive and introspective, yet casually up-beat. The vocalist wonders where his wayward lover could possibly be, until the ironic resolution, "The answer is in a circle / With the word 'Love' on a stamp / Postmarked Birmingham."
