WOW! Not just another love story! This novel, the 2nd in the Lights of Lowell series, takes the reader back to the Deep South and Plantation living. Follow Jasmine as she returns to her roots, due to her mother's failing health. But, Jasmine loses more than she thought possible. She makes a promise and must rely on her brother-in-law to help carry it out. More trouble and trials await when she returns to the North and her transplanted home. Jasmine's faith in God increases and her influence begins to witness to those around her.
I'm not giving much of the story away. But once again, Peterson and Miller thought out every detail and character to the benefit of the reader. Frankly, I liked this book more than the first. But you need to read the first to understand the story. Check out my review of the first in this series, "A Tapestry of Hope"
