Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (2007, Paperback, Reprint)

This is a great novel. Sure to be required reading one day, if it isn't already. Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a genius.

I love this book i never thought that i'll like it that much but so far i can't quite put it down.love it

This was a very much anticipated movie as I heard the reviews of the book were excellent and supposed to be the best romantic movie every made. I have bought the book but not yet started it. I am not sure if I will read it either as this was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen. I had to put the english subtitles on as I couldn't understand what they were saying.. It is slow, drawn out and I was hoping for a grand ending.. I'm glad that I didn't hold my breathe as I would be as dead as this movie.. Don't waste you time watching it is all I can say..

I couldn't get through this entire book. It was work. If you're looking for an easy read, don't read it. But it was well written.

Our book club choose this book and members were really mixed in their feelings. Few were neutral, but I, personally, loved the book. It took time for me to get into the story, but once I did, I loved the characters and the language of the book. The three main characters were so very well drawn and the author's understanding of love in all its phases at all different ages was wonderful. There were many paragraphs that I highlighted to discuss with the group, and we had great fun with all the symbolism of the images, colors, animals, smells, and birds through out the book. Love as a sickness with the same symptoms of cholera was fun to trace. It's just a beautifully written story of three very unusual people. Well worth the time. (I needed to re-read the first chapter when I finished to draw it all together.)

I had seen the movie and decided to read the book. The book is even better than the movie. In the book, the characters are much more alive than the movie.

very good price. I can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

Needed to read it for book club. Found it very compelling, great read. The format is unusual; no chapters. Rich in imagery and has a sort of surreal quality to it.

I actually bought for a friend since i read this book a while ago and loved it. It is a very challenging book and it will keep you glued to your seat until you finish it.

This book is one of the bests I have ever read. I read before in spanish, and to practice I bought it in English...is a heartbreaking book!!!

This book was seen on the Oprah show, and I decided to get it. I haven't finished reading it yet. I buy a lot of books on ebay, because they are readily available, arrive quickly and the prices are right.
