An interesting twist on some of the greatest rock songs ever written. George Martin and his son Giles work a lot of magic but at the end of the day it comes off as nothing more than an interesting listen and a novelty. When I first listened to it, my first thought was "this is like Stars on 45", a group who released a long Beatle medley back in the late 70's (it was actually quite good). I'm sure the Martin & Son's remixed, blended and interchanged music works well when it's layed in against the visuals of the play. So the CD by itself just might be out of context but by itself it falls a little flat after the first listen. **BnB Beatles Depot**

Specially created for the worldwide-famous acrobatic performance troupe Cirque Du Soleil, with a show taking place in Las Vegas, this album is an out-of-this world listening experience. Remixed and remastered by legendary record producer Sir George Martin and his son Giles, they have taken several original Beatles recordings and placed them together in a very interesting way. It truly is 'The Beatles as you have never heard them before'. First released in November 2006, "LOVE" turned out to be one of the finest examples of how far technology in the recorded music industry has advanced. There are many bright moments featured here, making this album an awesome musical trip back in time. Who would have ever thought that these recordings from the 60s could be improved in their sound and overall atmosphere? Several of the tracks are mixed quite well together. Especially impressive is the first-time true stereo mix of "I Am The Walrus". With this version, you can actually make out the instrumentation, as though you are hearing it for the first time. "Revolution" and "Back In The U.S.S.R." are included in this set, albeit in abbreviated version on the CD, and the original full-length version on the Audio DVD. And, don't forget "Gnik Nus", which is literally the song "Sun King" presented backwards. There is also an accompanying booklet included, featuring liner notes annotated by George and Giles Martin. Winner of 2 Grammy Awards, "LOVE" is a great album, that presents the timeless music of The Beatles in a very special way. It is a great addition the already-impressive library of Beatles CDs.

because i thought the item shows the wholecircus show with the background music by the Beatles,...but after I got the item i was dissappointed on the content of the product ,.. what im looking is to have a copy of the whole show not like documentary ..no interruption.

The CD has a lot of good Beatles music but I thought the DVD would show the Cirque Du Soleil show. Instead, it showed the cover of the CD with the music playing in the background and the title of the song currently playing. Buy it for the CD but not for the DVD.

I seen the show in Las Vegas and I just had to buy the cd and it was a plus that it came with a DVD thank you so much I love it.

At first I thought "oh, no. They are from the Vegas show, not just straight songs of the Beatles". But after listening a couple of times, I am hooked. I love the way they mixed the songs, and it is now my favorite CD.

To listen to this cd /dvd is just amazing. Every song and their arrangement is truly a work of art, thank you George Martin. But to see the show live in Las Vegas is just mind blowing and after seeing the live show it takes this cd to a whole other level.

well first let me say that the beatles to me are the most important pop group in musical history. i bought the special edition because i have a 5.1 surround system and wanted to see/hear how the dvd was different from the regular stereo cd. big difference in the sound as well as the channel seperation. worth getting and having for the collection. thanks for reading

First, I will commit to reading more carefully in the future. These are 2 identicle cds with the exception that one can be played on your DVD player. But don't expect to see a dang thing. I bought this thinking "Aha, I can watch the whoe Cirque du Soleil show over and over." But alas, it was not so. Those Canadian circus folks are pretty darn private about their patented performances and unless you fork over the required ticket price you again and again you cannot watch the show again and again.

What do I love about "Love"? Well, I love the Beatles music and here is some unusual combinations of tunes. Sometimes 3 songs blended for your awaiting ears. Beuatifully engineered and I am always eager to hear a new version that I haven't heard previously.

Ultimately worth buying just do not expect to see a show. Hear the show. Very good cd. You will like it, I imagine.

Great music by the greatest band of all time. I saw the Beatles Love show at the Mirage last weekend, and the show was just awsome. The same CD/DVD was selling for $35.00 plus tax at the Beatles boutique next to the theatre, but I was able to get it on eBay for $17.00 and that included shipping.
I will enjoy the music on the CD and on the DVD for many many years.
A MUST HAVE for all the diehard Beatles fans.

I love the Beatles but honestly who chose these songs to feature. THEY STINK! They are song choices are both lesser known and of lesser quality. Don't waste money. Buy a 1/2 gallon of gas with this money at least that way you will get somewhere you want to be.

Well I thought the cd was an actual dvd but it wasn't. It is fine though, my brother is happy with it.

I purchased the item nearly a month ago and have not received item yet. I paid immediately, and I don't know what is causing this kind of delay.

The Dvd is nothing more then the CD with only one picture, so dont think your going to see the Love Show on it...as to the CD, the quality of the music is great and a must have for Beatles fans, some of the songs are a little drawn out, but hey...its the original Beatles singing...

I had just seen the Beatles Love show in Vegas at the Mirage. The show was incredible and the music of course phenomenal. I wanted the CD to remember the show and because it is a different sound and re-mix of the original songs but still performed by the Beatles.The sound and engineering was done by the Beatles original record producer Sir George martin.
This CD is a great buy especially for a die-hard Beatles fan.

This CD gets better everytime you hear it. There have been so many Beatles releases over the years, it makes it awfully difficult to make them sound new or fresh. (nothing wrong with the old Beatles). George Martin makes these old standards hum with overlays from other classics. Very innovative and cool. Buy this CD, sit back and enjoy all the memories. You will be amazed.

One of only a handfull of remakes I've heard that gives justice to the original artists. HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PURCHASE!
