Love Filling Station by Jesse Winchester (CD, Apr-2009, Appleseed Records)

This is another great Jesse Winchester album. I've been listening to him since the early 80s (on vinyl, as it is now called) when I found his album in a record shop while looking for Steve Winwood. (Glad I never found the Winwood!) I've enjoyed the mellow, easy-going style of his voice -- I'm a Southerner at heart -- which continues to give the listener an the feeling that he is performing just for you. Not the overly-produced plastic feel of too many singers today. And I've always wished I could write and sing love songs like Jesse. Great album. Glad to add it to my collection.
