Love Comes Softly by Janette Oke (1979, Paperback)

This book is about true love and life as it should be. I have bought this book and many others by janette oke. She touches the heart and brings tears to your eyes. If you liked little house on the prairie as a young child you will love these as an adult. Once you start reading forget the dinner and housework until you finish the book and then start on the next. I give this book an A+

The Love Comes Softly series by Janette Oke are a must for all to read, young teens and adults alike. This is a christian based tale of tragedies, love and a strong christian faith. These books as well as the movies are an inspiration to read. As you read the book, you can easily imagine the surroundings and what is taking place as well as how the characters feel. I recomend for all parents to let their children read these books. They keep you so involved that you can not put the book down.
If you like the Little House (Laura Ingalls Wilder) books, you will definitely love these.

There are eight books in this series and the whole series is excellent!! You will fall in love with the with the people and their story line. Each book is better than the last. You will be blessed in reading these and it will make you want to get other books written by Janette Oke.

I read this book when it first came out. My grandmother bought each one as it was written. I was unable to get my Grandmother's books when she passed away and I always loved to read Janette Oke, so I started my own library with them.
It is an excellent to beginning to a WONDERFUL series that doesn't end with the first group.

I loved the way Janette Oke writes, I was not able to put the book down for very long at a time. I have nothing at all that I dislike about this book. I found the first 4 at my Mother in-laws and went on ebay for the rest, and became a GREAT fan of hers. The books are so good, I can share with my granddaughter and feel good about it. thank you for letting me share.

It's a good clean christian bases novel. It's short enough to read in one to two days. The story is about young women in the old west when people were first settling and it is very interesting to me to see how nice there life was even though by todays standards we would consider it very rough. I love all of her books. I strongly recommend and I think great for young girls to read as well as older women. Enjoy,

Love comes softly by Janette Oke is such a wonderfully written book, even though I have already read the series, I wanted a set for myself to read again and again. Highly recommended.

This was just a nice little book to read on a summers evening. I would tell anyone of my friends to read this book. You could let your daughters read this book for a school book report.

I appreciate books about pioneer days and experiences. This book is a sweet book about a family's experiences, some good and some hard but because of their faith, they were able to bear all. I have read the whole series and highly recommend them.
