Love American Style Season 1, Volume 1 (DVD, 2007, Multi-disc Set)

Well, just watching this transported me back to being 12 years old! I can recall so clearly watching this on my parent's b/w 19" TV and loving every minute of it. I am so happy that the studios realize that there is a market for these classic TV shows...keep 'em coming!

If you lived during the late 60's and early 70's, you might enjoy this trip down memory lane. Good picture quality (better than Love Boat) and it brings back a lot of memories from my teen years. The only downside...the price. You only get a half season from each boxed set, yet it cost as much or more than full seasons of other television shows. If you search ebay, you'll probably find it at a decent price. Watch a couple of dics and you'll definately smile (and groan!!). I'd forgotten about the short sketches between episodes. They are really silly, but fun. I recommend this show if you've seen it during it's heyday. If you weren't born when this was on, take a pass, as you might wonder how my generation got thru the 60's.

Although kind of corny, enjoyed it. Takes you back to a simplier, happier time. Good DVD to "escape" with.

Okay, i'll be perfectly honest. This romantic comedy series is better than any movie I have ever seen since then with the exception of some Woody Allen films. See, good taste comes from funny situations and not the nudity, foul language and disgusting smut generated from recent generations. Seinfeld and Curb ur Enthusiasm featuring the brainchild of Larry David will always rank among the genius that came out of Arron Spelling's television series.Love American Style will always set the standard for family viewing. There is no imagination in today's films because they are mostly take offs of past movies. I don't expect anyone who is much younger than me to understand my point of view because they grow up in a world without lethal competition. They plaigerize (sp.) what they learn from the computer which is the downfall of imagination. Thank God I grew up in an era where comedy meant alot more than crashing a wedding or a bachelor american pie party. Women were sex symbols not because of body jewelry and tattoos, but because they had virtue and souls that outshined the so called models and stars of today.So sad that all the children of today are raised in a bukake gang bang world where the degradation of women is on such a large scale that it's no wonder the world will end in three years. I only hope that God can restore comedy to the way it used to be and for me, buying these DVD's from this seller on ebay is the start of a mindset that I'll acquire once again in my lifetime. A blast from the past indeed. This 3 disk DVD set was a great buy. I didn't want to stop watching it. If you like me are a 70's child and want to bring back some good memories buy it - it's FUN FUN FUN !!

Oh what fun to watch...the clothes, the language,watching our actor's when they were just starting out...I can't wait for the second season...

Great old mini-sitcom show that featured several stories in each episode with story lines that were very topical for the day....late 60's early 70's. Very fun, great to see the old stars. Glad they finally put it out on DVD.
