Lots of Luck 1988 Disney Channel Movie
When the Disney Channel was young and aimed at family movies, Lots of Luck (starring Annette Funicello and Martin Mull) was a memorable movie for me. Annette's character wins the lottery, but the family's quick spending and Uncle Sam's taxes for the additional - make that MANY additional - things they win leaves them broke. They decide to try to earn a little extra money by entering an auto race where you have to cross town on one gallon of gas.
I bought this movie and watched it with my own kids. They loved it AND the home video commercials before and after. The old 1980s Disney movie commercials were very entertaining for my kids and were a nice flash back to a simpler, less cell-phoned, internet, mp3d time for me. The acting is basic, but nice. The plot isn't deep, but it's fun. And overall, everyone in my family enjoyed it enough to watch it over again. Thanks Disney Channel!
