I am pregnant with my first child right now and I am buying all the parenting books I can get my hands on. I want to read EVERYTHING and get as educated as I can about becoming a first time parent. I am not 100% for or against the use of spanking, but when it comes to this book, this author says DIRECTLY that spanking is the ONLY discipline that works. She describes the use of switches and paddles and the spanking of teenagers! This book is irresponsible and as I read it I felt sick to my stomach. There is nothing educational about this book - a total waste of my time and my money.
