  Read it with Lost Christianitites

Great Book! When I read the DaVinci Code, I realized I needed a non-fictional source to learn about these "lost" scriptures.

This is the book to read to gain knowledge about the Gospel of Mary, Gospel of Thomas, and many more.

Yet to get a true experience, read it with Lost Christianities, since the author decided to "plug" this book with constant references to the other. It would make for a frustrating read without both books.

  Fascinating Book
Review created: 11/06/06(updated 11/08/09)

I bought this book because I had to do a report in a class on the "historical Jesus" and it is a very interesting book. The book was reasonably priced, relevant , and in great shape.

  FASCINATING!

Fascinating, illuminating, and well worth reading. Too bad 6 pages of Mary Magdalene's gospel are missing, yet in those pages that remain we see Mary's personal persuasiveness as she presents Jesus' plea to his disciples in such a way that each man leaves Mary determined "to go forth to proclaim and teach."
Read the Gospel according to Jesus' brother, James, view the gory horrors of Hell and ecstasies of Heaven through Simon Peter's eyes, as well as a thorough indictment against physical love (under any circumstances) by Titus.
Thank you, DaVinci Code, if it hadn't been for you I never would have known these scriptures existed!
