Album Notes
Manual: Tobin Lush, Marc Scruby, Jenni Lush, Jonas Munk.
Issued in 2007, this two-disc set presents a well-selected collection of rarities by Manual, aka Danish electronica artist Jonas Munk. Highlights of LOST DAYS, OPEN SKIES & STREAMING TIDES include the dreamy "Summer Haze," one of two songs here originally by Slowdive (a strong influence on Munk's shoegaze-heavy sound), and the beautifully melancholy "Into the Blue." The shimmering "Marbella" is also noteworthy as it is a collaboration with former Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie, further stating Munk's debt to the British dream-pop scene.
