Lost Boys - The Tribe (Blu-ray Disc, 2008)

20 years after the original Lost Boys with an open mind going in this is a pretty good movie. Some updated foul language at the beginning really wasn't needed and leaving it out would have been an improvement. The story was o.k. The acting Tad Hilgenbrinck etc. was pretty good. the ending o.k. Overall pretty good. Watch the original first.

I bought this movie for my fiance because she is a vampire freak. We both enjoyed the original Lost Boys back in the 80s. We bought this movie with low expectations, thank goodness. The movie is corny, cheesy, possibly even comical. It has a good premise, but fails to deliver. Feldman and Haim are just plain laughable. The end is anti-climatic.

One redeeming quality of this movie is how it relates to the youth of today....just like the original movie did back in the 80s. I feel that the way youth is portrayed in this movie is very accurate. Pranks, video games, etc.

All in all...good to watch once, but it will collect dust on our shelves now.

Terrible movie. First the movie's subject and plot line are lost somewhere in the mix. You can never what is going on. Poor acting surely do to poor writing. There is no resurection here or redeeming factors. I was simply ticked.
The movie was short as well. It was more like watching a made for TV movie, but worse. The "extra" features are corny and the music videos are in the poorest quality possible. It looked like a bar band and a hand held video camera.
Stay away from the tribe or be sorry you ever bought it... watched it even.
The long and short of it is it's a rip off from start to finish.

Weak movie, loved the original so I had to see the second one. Looks like Cory Haim, who can't get his life together, helped screw up the sequel. Went straight to DVD for a reason. Sad day for The Lost Boys because I disagree with the original producer that a 2nd could NOT have been good. It COULD have been great. Actors and story line was O.K.- the movie was not cheaper than 19.99 anywhere DVD's are sold- a total ripoff for this movie, it should be cheaper than new releases that are actually good.
