The Lost Boys is one of the best vampire movie ever made! Blade comes second, but sorry this film is classic vampire horror material. This is actually my favorite horror genre movie. Kiefer Sutherland is the man! No one else would have played the part of David any better! This movie was filmed in Santa Cruz California(Santa Carla in the movie),(I was on the beach when they were making this movie and my friends and I were kicked off the beach so they could do the filming...little did I know at the time that this would become one of my favorite movies of all time), so it makes it that much better. What a perfect town for vampire infiltration. Weird people and great sights... that works for me. Michael, played by Jason Patric, and his younger brother Sam move into their grandpa’s place in Santa Clara along with their mother. Michael and Sam soon find out that “Santa Carla is crawling with vampires.” I won’t tell you anymore of the story because you have watch it. Actually if you haven’t seen this movie then you should. My favorite scene is when all the vampire buddies hang off a bridge in the middle of a very foggy night for no reason. All I gotta say is… classic scene! The ending of this film is beautiful and all the characters are top notch. The Frog brothers are stellar and have great one liners. As said by Sam “you’re a God damn, s**t sucking vampire”.

"The Lost Boys" is quickly becoming the seminal documentation of the romanticism for the 1980s --- it has all the darkness of being a mature teenager pre-Cobain and Internet chat, and the allusions to cocaine, peer pressure, and innocence-lost are impeccably and subtly at play via Schumacher in his infamously debaucherous daze. The Coreys' fate, their precocious cockiness is simply awesome here, ended up mirroring what this is film represents. And the vampire mythos of Santa Clara is a spritely comic-book mythos for the ages. Heavily underrated, misunderstood due to jokey genre and bloody infinitely mesmerizing.

The Lost BoysThis is a favorite movie of my wife from her youth. It is a fun movie with a decent twist. It shows some actors from their younger days. I would say its a fun movie. Its not too violent and does not have excessive gore. It could be suitable for teens and youth in today's market. Most of the violence is implied.

I know this review area is not INTENDED to reflect the seller, but I did not get the chance to receive the movie because the seller did not have one to sell in the first place. I was told the item was backordered on 2/4, and I had the option to wait, or be refunded (IMMEDIATELY). I opted for the refund. That was 2/4/2009, and I just received my refund today 2/20/2009 after going through the dispute consoles at PayPal, and through Ebay. It would be a good thing if you were lucky enough to happen to read this REVIEW, prior to "attempting" to purchase something from this seller. (white_elephant_media) I learned it is very important to read ALL OF the feedback comments that buyers have left previous to you. There are more than a few negative reviews, and most are related in some way for this particular seller. No item received, and no refund received. I just wanted to take this opportunity, and remind buyers to look carefully at who you are buying from, before clicking on "buy it now" or "bid now". I know I will look at feedback details each, and every time I want to buy something going forward. I certainly hope this helps at least 1 buyer from going through what I did with this seller. Great Vampire movie from the 80s. Just as Cheezy as Twighlight but with the nostalgic twist. One of Kiefer Sutherland's early movies. Also features the two Corey's (Corey Feldman, Corey Haim).

The Lost Boys (1998 DVD)I love this movie and never get tired of watching it. It has an all star casr, terrific special effects and story line, with a little bit of humor. This is by far one of the best vampire movies to date, if you have never seen it you should. Excellent!!!!
