All this drama takes its toll on Bertinelli's waistline, and the memoir talks frankly and humorously about her ongoing weight problems until she joined the Jenny Craig weight-loss program and became a spokesperson for the plan.

I just love Valerie Bertinelli. I grew up watching her on her sitcom, One Day At A Time. She is a remakeable lady. Review ID: 10000000005991617 Was this review helpful? Report this review Reviews This is a really good book. It surprised me because I don't read a lot of autobiographies - I usually think they are boring. Don't be put off by the "Losing It" and think that it is just a weight loss book. It isn't. It is a great story of Valerie's life (lots of insite on Ed Van Halen) and just the ups and downs of life. Very good. Review ID: 10000000007927021 Was this review helpful? Report this review Review created: 07/05/08 by: Always liked Valerie Bertinelli although not a huge fan or anything. Wanted to read her book because I thought she would be honest and candid.....and she was! A good read, down to earth and shared true feelings. The down side was that she didn't go indepth enough on some things and merely skimmed the surface. I would purchase it again and read if I had to do over. I wanted to read names, dates, places, of people she slept with, why, why the lies about the drugs, and the outright untruth about the "good girl" image she's tried to project through the years. I am a Van Halen fan which is the only reason I read the book. I feel sorry for Eddie and her, what a waste of 20 years....for both. Review ID: 10000000007812993 Was this review helpful?
