The LA Times California Cookbook
This cookbook is a great compilation of recipes published in the LA Times food section and rated highly by publishers and readers alike. Many of the recipes are from noted California establishments such as the Biltmore Hotel. All are clearly described and presented. The layout of the book is delightful and includes menus for various occasions and holidays.
I had had this book for many years and somehow misplaced it during a kitchen remodel. I am thrilled to have found it on eBay!!
I recommend this cookbook for anyone enjoying unique recipes and a great cooking experience!

) A superb and delicious collection of wonderful recipes which captures the sunny distinctiveness and ethnic diversity of California Cruisine. I have used this cookbook for many years, and just bought another one through eBay as my first book has become ragged and tattered. The recipes are well-written and simple to follow.

) I REALLY like this cookbook. My mother gave it to me years ago, and it's one of my favorites. The "Wine Roasted Turkey" recipe is a hit every Thanksgiving.
It's easy to follow and it is the first cook book I refer to when looking for a good recipe. I bought another copy on Ebay for a friend who is a Gourmet Cook, to add to his collection, and he can't wait to check out the recipes.
I wish it were easier to find, I'd buy it for everyone I know for Xmas!
