Forget that the DVD is recorded in high-definition. Forget that the sound engineering is flawless. Forget the beautiful pans of the lush countryside of Spain and the fantastic interior shots of Alhambra. All that you need to know about this production is that Loreena McKennitt is back with the most sensual, primitive, ethereal offering of her career. This is music which transports you to inaccessible spaces; music which burns into your soul through your blood; music which makes long, lingering love to you...

Nights from the Alhambra
) I love McKennit and love the Alhambra. Watching the concert DVD was awesome. I enjoyed seeing all the instruments that are used to create her unique songs. Her insights into Spain on the DVD are also very interesting.

I simply LOVE Loreena McKennitt. This is a very superior set to own. Rich, enchanting, romantic music and the DVD with it,is very well done. This is a very good overview of her work, but lacks one of my favorite songs; "The Highwayman".
