Lord, I Want to Be Whole by Stormie Omartian (2001, Paperback)

I have read this book several times. Each time, it has helped me to deal with new issues. I think this is the perfect book for a new Christian or someone who has been away from the Lord and wants to find their way back. It opened my eyes to worldly issues that are so common today and seen as acceptable by the world, that are sinful in the Bible. It doesn't make you feel guilty about your past or present decisions, but it does give you hope in living better and making the right choices, enabling your spiritual growth. Stormie shares her own experiences and stories in a way that is an interesting read, as well as very heart-felt and touching. This book honestly changed my life, the way I look at things, and what goes on in my home as well as around me outside of my home and the situations I find myself in daily. Although Christians are constantly always striving to live better lives, this is an awesome starting place. If you are ready for a change and open to the word of God, this book can change your life!! I've read many of Stormie's books that are wonderful, but in my opinion, this was her best!

Stormie is an excellent author and this book is top-notch! I have bought a number of copies to give to women I counsel at our local county jail. This book gives areas where God wants to bring wholeness and healing into your life. She takes concepts from the Bible and puts them into practical everyday steps that will help you on your way to wholeness. She uses what God did in her life to encorage the reader to allow God to do in their life also. Highly recommended.

I love Stormies candor in the book, it is an excellent resource for someone who needs emotional healing. She encourages you to seek God in prayer & fasting for the healing you need by sharing her own personal experiences. Which really helps you to identify areas where you need help. I purchased the book because I had already had my own copy & was purchasing for someone else;
