The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (DVD, 2004, Full-Screen; 2-Disc Set)

The End of the Trilogy.... best to view this one after seeing the first two movies in a series of night viewings.

Was good in the movie theaters, don't know if it will hold up with repeated viewing in a decade or two.

However, it does take repeated viewings of all three DVDs to catch the full impact of the vision of this movie!

Lord of the Rings is full of adventure, noble struggles, and wonderous experiences: so we buy a DVD and dope ourselves up on fantasy for three hours. Hah! If people were only honest, noble, and courageous! The truth is, although we THINK of ourselves as a carbon copy of Aragorn, we are actually selfish, petty-minded, dishonest, ignoble, cowardly, untrustworthy, disloyal, lust-craved, bitter, jealous, unpleasant, and greedy. Neither are real wizards good-guys: real ones are evil. Oh my, do we all need help! So, instead of actually trying to become a noble person (or marrying one), we just buy the movie! Well, this movie certainly does its job - it will hold you spellbound until you come back to reality. Yes, I recommend that you get doped up on "The Lord of the Rings"!

Terrific. This is the third installment of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and it is by far the most violent movie out of all of them. But it is still the best out of all of them. Not because of the violcence per say, but because of the awesome special effects and the terrific acting. Get this movie and the other two because it is a great movie and triogy. If you get all three just be ready to put aside 9 & 1/2 hours out of your day.

As always, this Lord of the Rings movie (part of the trilogy) delivers excellent story line, stunts, and spectacular special effects.

This is a great movie and seeing it again reminded me how great it is. Well worth the purchase. The special affects are amazing and the actors are amazing. Also the additional dvd about the making of it.

It is long, but very good movie! I liked the mystical ending that the Lord of the Rings trilogy has to offer.

bought the NewPhone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

I LOVED the last installment of the The Lord of the Rings trilogy, (though the second one was my ultimate favorite), and it didn't make sense for me to just have the first two on DVD and not the last one. I had only read the first book, but all of the movies seemed ot capture every word of the others. The imagery and plot was so captivating and lovely that it really felt as if these mystical worlds really existed. These movies are great for anyone who loves the mystical genre.

This was a Great movie, it really kept my attention. It had plenty of action, lots of twists and turns, a little light romance and lots of light hearted comedy. This was a fantastic price and quick and inexpensive delivery, a buyers dream combo.

This is a good movie, not as good as the previous one bit still worth owning!If you like these types of movies don't miss this one.

I bought this movie as a Christmas gift, but have seen it, loved it and own it. It's the culmination of J.R.R. Tolkein's epic story of good and evil. The story line is riveting, the cinematography stunning, and the acting supurb. One of my favorite movies of all time.

It is not just the movie and story itself, everybody can learn something from the movie: for love, for honor, for friendship. THe director had many skills to transfer the feeling to the audience. It should be the best movie of the year.

When buying a Lord of The Rings DVD, one should consider who its for. If its for yourself and you simply want to watch the movie, then I suggest buying a used dvd that is still in great condition. Often you can get a dvd shipped to you for a dollar more than what it would cost to rent it from Blockbuster. Got to love Ebay. But its only worth it if it will play, so make sure you are buying from a trusted seller with good feedback (both score and comments). There are many sellers out there with only a few positive feedback or a score below a 97%. Typically I dont buy from a seller who has less than a 98%. It wouldn't be worth it to buy a movie that you never get or is too scratched to play. If you are looking obey a movie such as this for a fan, perhaps the cheapest way isnt the best. Lord of The Rings has special version of the dvd that many people would appreciate all more. And Ebay is a great place for all of them. As with any item, dvd or not, research what you are buying and who you are buying from. Looking at your options both in sellers and products is the best way to continue having a positive experience on Ebay!

Another excellent movie! I have seen some movies that can't get away with 3 in a row, but The Lord of the Rings can! If you haven't seen all three yet, rent them! What are you waiting for? Go get them now! Watch them over the weekend. You won't be sorry. I am going to pop some popcorn and have a Lord of the Rings Movie Marathon this weekend!

I loved this movie. The visuals are fantastic and the best that I have ever seen in a movie. I am a LOTR fan so I had to get the movie when it first came out and the battles are intense. Excellent fighting scenes and a great way to wrap up the story!

I enjoyed this movie a lot. Full of action. Also completed my set. Highly recommended. There was nothing I didn't like about this movie.

On the virtue of its two predecessors, it was a classic at first screen. A literary classic translated into a cinematic wonder. Someone in Hollywood should write that formula down. A megahit movie without nudity or drug use;bravo!
