Looney Tunes - Golden Collection: Vol. 2 (DVD, 2004, 4-Disc Set)

I bought a Looney Tunes Collection on dvd. The condition of the dvd was perfect, the case was perfect and it played perfect! this seller is highly recommended by me! My girls love this dvd which features a whole lot of looney tune cartoons, reminds me of when I was a kid.

I decided to buy it, because I enjoyed watching Looney tunes when I was younger. I found out about some of the shorts being dvd. I just had to have it. It keeps me laughing, and laughing. I hope to have them all on dvd some day.

This is yet another fantastic collection of Warner Brothers animation - the coyote/roadrunner disc is exceptionally great. It's a good mix of the older, more obscure material as well as favorites you know and have seen (and will continue to watch over and over again). Some of the material would be considered racy for kids by today's standards - I doubt it would fly with on current network tv - but nevertheless it's classic stuff that stands the test of time.

In a world of rampant, and mostly irrational political-correctness, its re-freshing to watch these classic Warner Bros. cartoons. They're extremely well-crafted. Anyone can tell, a lot of TLC was put into each episode. It's sad
to watch modern cartoons that are more focused on touchy/feely kind of -
subjects. I bought the first "Golden Collection" and loved it; so, it's only
natural that I should have this, the second of the collection. I can pretty-
much guarantee I'll end up buying the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th,....etc. sets and -
whatever else Looney Tunes came up with from the '40s, '50s, and '60s.

For any of you who grew up in my era of the 60's and 70's or even before that: then this whole series is a MUST HAVE for you. There will never be animation again like what Warner Brothers did in their time. Hanna Barbara was good but the animation was not up to this. I have my kids hooked on the Road Runner and Tweety. Forget all that stuff about how violent these cartoons were. Today you see blood squirting out of cartoons so I would rather have my kids sit and watch these all day... There are 4 volumes out now and I can only hope they keep putting them out!

I love Warner Brothers cartoons. They are pure slap stick and the parodies are wonderful.
The only problem with the set is having 15 cartoons of Bugs Bunny on one disk and the same with the Roadrunner. It would have been nice to have a variety on the disks.

The second volume of this great series of classic cartoons allows 60 more Warner Bros. animated shorts to get the DVD treatment. This set also has the consensus number one cartoon ever, What's Opera, Doc? This thing has commentaries galore! This WAS Saturday morning television for me. It also contains a disc full of Road Runner classics as well as a disc full of Tweety and Sylvester cartoons. This is so much fun!!!

This Volume really brings back happy childhood memories!

These are the great cartoons that you remember from when you were a kid. They are redone and have great color and sound now. It's just sad that you have to buy this set because you can't find them on television anymore. All they like to play is that japanimation crap.

Great. Best cartoons around are the original Looney Tunes. If you miss good wholesome cartoons, these are a must to buy. (actually, any of the Looney Tune collections are highly recommended.

My favorite cartoon character is Yosemite Sam. If I am feeling blue or down, all I have to do is watch Loonie Toones and I am in a good mood!!

The second volume is definitely worth buying. For me it was especially worth it as the Dover boys cartoon is in this collection as well as the 3 bears/Father's Day toon and "The 3 Little Bops". The biggie though is "What's Opera, Doc?" which is also included. That is one of the most highly regarded of all of Warner's output. So along with those you'll get to see a group from Bob Clampett ("Porky Pig in Wackyland") along with some of Tex's and Chuck's toons. The bonus features are nice along with the added information you'll get from listening to the commentaries. I have the first volume and am looking forward to eventually getting all 6. Good quality although I wish they would have spent a little more to clean up some of the shorts - that would have also added to the expense so I imagine it was a balancing act for them on that one. Definitely worth the price of admission.

I remember watching Looney Tunes Saturday mornings. Sometimes my dad would watch them with me and my sisters. He'd laugh out loud. How cool it was to laugh along with him. Purchased the set as a gift for our son in his early 20's. The other day caught him and our 4 year old grandson laughing out loud while watching the cartoons. It's great to see some things actually be a timeless treasure. Great fun for all ages, great viewing for a long travel trip in a portable dvd player or to fill short time spans. The menu for the dvd was a little confusing, but the cartoon and characters are priceless. cindy

I absolutely enjoyed this collection of cartoons. They were so entertaining. It was great to watch these as a family without having to worry about anything offensive showing up.
