Looney Tunes - Golden Collection: Vol. 1 (DVD, 2003, 4-Disc Set)

We decided to get this to provide a large group of kids invited to an adult holiday party with an entertainment option that might keep their interest while the adults mingled.... we actually rented chairs and set up a home "theater" in a large bedroom on the second floor of our house - complete with a box of popcorn similar to the ones they use in real theaters. We enlisted the help of a neighborhood baby sitter to keep the popcorn flowing and keep tabs to make sure things remained under control (a great idea as it turned out). The kids LOVED the CDs - there is no denying these are the best cartoons, far superior to what I would consider second rate and ultra violent stuff that is being put out these days, and the plan to keep them occupied (and laughing) worked brilliantly. After the party, when we were exhausted, we sat down and watched a few of the cartoons ourselves, and as expected, even though we were very tired, we were HOWLING in minutes. This was an A+++ buy.

These are priceless as the come from a time that humor was at its best. No
longer can you get entertainment like this.

I love the classic episodes of Looney Tunes in this collection. There a some not good episodes, but I think this collection is the best of all the series. Why did I buy it? Two reasons. For some strange reason they do not show Looney Tunes on television anymore. Possibly for being Un-PC. The second reason I bought this collection, just look it up and read the episodes you are getting you will crack up just reading it.

I purchased the collection primarily for one cartoon, Feed the Kitty. I remembered this kitten from my childhood. My 16 year old daughter has several t shirts with pussyfoot, the kitty on them, but had no idea who she was. Todays toons are poorly done and sort of evil. My daughter loved the cartoon, in fact watched all of them and loved them all. Bring back the good old days of cartooning, Foghorn Leghorn, Elmer Fudd, and Bugs. Daffy Duck Rocks!
It was worth every penny, even if i had just gotten the cartoon Feed the Kitty.
For those of you who dont remember, this is the cartoon where the Bulldog Marc Antony falls hard for the sweet kitten, and tries to keep his mistress from discovering his new pal. Then thinks the poor little waif has been baked into a cookie. It is soooo great. My only wish was that this collection had one of the cartoons of the two dogs I remember. I dont know their character names, but one was big with perky ears and one was small with hound ears. The little one was always yapping hysterically, making cats shoot straight up to hand from the ceiling by their claws. You guys need to introduce your kids or grandkids to the good old days of pure fun cartooning.

If you buy one looney tunes collection, buy this one. It has some of Bugs and Daffy's best cartoons and by far their best cartoons together. It has a descent amount of other characters, but focuses largely on Bugs and secondly on Daffy. Bugs is always good. Daffy doesn't have any boring cartoons in this collection where he is a bad guy (for example against Speedy Gonzalez). I bought it partially for nostagia but also because as an adult I still think these cartoons are funny.

Growing up I watched several of the cartoons collected in this set, watching them now takes me back toi a time when things were easier and innocent. The collection has some of the cartoons that Cartoon Network and Boomerang will not show any longer because they are not "politically correct". Well I say that I would rather my kids watch these cartoons than some of the offensive things that are being pumped out that are acceptable by todays standards. This box set is without a doubt a collection of the greatest cartoons ever!!!!!!!

Buggs Bunny at his best ! These cartoons are great. You get 56 cartoons. That will keep you entertained for quite a while. These cartoons are the original UNCUT versions and VERY VERY FUNNY. This dvd set is worth every penny that you spend on it. It has cartoons of Buggs Bunny, Pepe le pew, Sylvester & Tweety bird, foghorn leghorn, Yosimite sam and many more.

The dvd collection is excellent. Today's cartoons are shallow, humorless, and leave much to be desired. I purchased this dvd collection so my kids could see what types of cartoons that their parents enjoyed as children. Watching the oldies brought back many laughs and memories. It is something that I am glad to have in our family collection.....good, clean fun and laughter that is timeless.
There is a well rounded mix of most of the characters represented in the cartoon choices ( Daffy, Bugs, Speedy, Foghorn Leghorn, etc..)

This is a must have for Looney Tunes fans. If you are not the die hard fan, but remember watching Looney Tunes as a kid, then this is even a better pick. It has all of the classics that you'll remember and it has a lot of the other characters in their most memorable sketches. I highly recommend this collection if you enjoy the Looney Tunes humor and entertainment.

There has never been a better cartoon that the original Looney Tunes. If your 5 and just discovering them or 75 and reliving happier times, you will laugh out loud at these funny cartoons each has been restored to its original glory.
There is a good mix of all your favorites form Bugs Bunny to Pepe La Pew and every one in between. You get 56 Restored, uncut, animated shorts as well as some bonus material, interviews, excerpts, documentaries and much much more.

This is the best of the best in classic cartoons! Everything I hoped was here is included like Rabbit Kin - Bugs and Pete Puma, Water Water Every Hare - Bugs and the Orange Monster, etc. Definitely one to have in your classic cartoon collection!

This was an invaluable purchase. I was not the biggest Looney Tunes fan when I was young. However, now that I am grown and have children of my own I realize how special they are. There is so little quality television for children at this time. My 6 yo and 8 yo will sit and laugh out loud as they watch and I can enjoy it with them.

This is a good collection of these great old cartoons! Its been years since I have seen most of them, and I was delighted to get an opportunity to share them with my kids. It is a good sized collection featuring some of the funniest episodes, so for the price I didn't hesitate to add this to my collection. Hope this is helpful.

It's sad that in this world today the television network sensors feel the need to edit the crud out of these classic cartoons because some of the original comedy is now considered too violent or "politically incorrect."

If you love these cartoons, and want to see them again in all their original and unedited glory, then you will love this DVD set.

ALL THE FUNNY STUFF WE GREW UP ON. YOU WILL LOVE IT NOTHING BUT LAUGHS AND GREAT SHOWS ITS JUST TO BAD THEY ARE BANNED THEY WERE THE BEST UNLIKE THE CHINESE CARTOONS THEY HAVE ON AMERICAN TV NOW THEY BANNED ALL THE GOOD STUFF AND PUT ALL CHINA'S CARTOONS ON OUR TV. BUY IT AND RAISE YOUR KIDS ON THE GOOD STUFF

I am a major Bugs Bunny fan and really think it's a shame the Saturday morning cartoons I watched aren't available for my grandson to watch. I decided to purchase this Looney Tunes dvd so both my grandson and I can enjoy watching them together. The dvd was delivered in a very timely manner and was in perfect condition. Thanks!

From what I can see on the DVD's I purchased it would of been worth the money. These cartoons take me back to my childhood when everything was simple. Not like today's cartoons that you have to monitor for little ones. I purchased one that came in poor condition. The person was misleading in their ad. I purchased a brand new one and was Very happy with it. My little ones like watching them too.

It's obvious that this doesn't have all the great cartoons for this collection but what it does have is outstanding. The Looney Tunes is not for just children, but the child in all of us.

I purchased/ordered this item on Feb. 15, 2009. I've not heard from seller/ebay regarding this item. I've registered a claim two weeks ago and I still haven't heard a thing from anyone. I hope this is an isolated incident as I've purchased a number of things from ebay without incident. I hope this review is read and action is taken soon as I've prepared Chase Visa to soon take action. This item has been paid for by me and after nearly two months I have nothing. This was supposed to be a gift for our threee children!
