The book is very informative. Since it is an autobiography, it is not clinical
but is still educational. It is also a very interesting story of this man's life. Very funny, and sad at the same time.

My 7 year old son was just diagnosed with Aspergers. This was an amazing book delving into the mind of someone who has lived with Aspergers. As an adult I have come to have some of the same symptoms as my son when he began school. John Elder Robison has an amazing writing style that captures your imagination and brings you right to where he was at certain points in his life. This book has a great mixture of laughs and cries. I would highly recomend this book to anyone who has recently had a child diagnosed with Aspergers. Woof (when you read the book you will get this)

I decided to buy this book for my sister because she has a son with Asperger's disease. It was recommended to me by a nurse who also has a son with Asperger's. She told me that this was the best book she has read yet about this tragic illness. I haven't read the book, but my sister rates it highly, so I will.

The title (and picture) really attract attention.

I'm a therapist and we're seeing more and more people who are fuctioning somewhere in the Autism continuum, some with much difficulty and some doing well. I found this book very honest and enlightening, not only about John's own story, but also in his comparisons to others with Asperger's Syndrome. Reading it could be helpful (and give hope) to others dealing with this way of being.

  Living with Asperger's

Very interesting book. A personal account of life with asperger's. He overcomes many of lifes challenges and succeeds. My favorite parts of the book are "functional naming", pranks he plays family frineds and co workers, and how he protects himself from snakes. I laughed out loud. His brother is Augusten Burroughs, author of Running With Scissors.
