Some good info, but I have fundamentally different view

Joyce shares some good information about nutrition. She has obviously done research. My background is in biology and nutrition and in many areas she is right on. Some of her logic is a little faulty.
However, my biggest problem was her references to "looking good." At one point, she did say that by taking care of our bodies we're honoring God, (which is my feeling as well), but there was a repeatable, resounding suggestion of looking good for other people. I think our culture is too hung up on what a women (in particular) should look like, as evidenced by the airbrushing that is used on the "perfect" magazine models. I feel she focused too much on outside looks and less on finding beauty within ourselves. It is the light of God in our eyes and love for ourselves that truly gives the glow of beauty. One particular item that was troubling was her reference to the use of cosmetic surgery to improve appearance. She had work done on her face to which she admits in the audio. I feel strongly that God has made us the way we are, whether we sag or have lines of experience, they are all a story of our lives.
Not that I don't struggle with vanity myself. I have developed splotchy brown spots on my face, which, from time to time bother me when I look in the mirror. I feel at that point I need to pick up the Book and find again what He thinks is important. I don't find anything about women wearing makeup or reducing the signs of aging. Needing to follow that ministry is following the "ministry of our culture" and not the teachings of Christ. I'm not saying it's wrong, I do wear makeup to work, mostly to fit in. But on the weekends and around my family and friends I let my inner beauty be my makeup. (I try to let it show behind my worldly makeup too.)
I do not recommend this audio and will be selling mine on ebay.
