The Longing by Beverly Lewis (2008, Paperback)

I like this book because it's part of a three book (the third book) series. I owned books one and two and needed to own the complete set so bought this one off of Ebay. I like reading about the Amish and Beverly Lewis does an excellent job of opening a window into their lives.

Beverly Lewis is my all time favorite author! The book is in great condition and came very fast! I can't wait to read this book! Another great purchase.. allthough any purchase of Beverly Lewis is a great purchase!

Of all of the Beverly Lewis books to date this was my favorite! This is the conclusion to the Courtship Of Nellie Fisher series.
Nellie Mae Fisher is the picture of the ideal Amish daughter. She is faithful to her Old Order Amish ways and especially to her family. When her family leaves the Old Ways for the ways of New Order, she loses her chance to marry the only man she has ever loved. Time and time again Nellie Mae and Caleb are separated and kept from marrying although they have stayed faithful to each other and their Amish life.
Other families and friends suffer through many trials and hardships as the story is woven together with vividly described characters. The Amish Community is divided with the New Order/ Old Order split. Will there ever be a happy ending?
I highly recommend this book, it is a very fast reading story, all loose ends come together for an excellent ending. Enjoy!

This is such a great book! The perfect end to the trilogy. I am passing it along to my mom for Mother's Day.

It was an awesome transaction with no problems. The book was in perfect shape, came fast and I am very happy, unlike previous purchase where seller got my money quickly, no responses to my many emails and I never got my product, and never got my money back. That one was very dissappointing and I had to leave my first negative feedback and it also left me very leery of future ebay purchases.

Beverly Lewis, as always, will keep you very interested in her tales of Amish life, and The Longing is no different. In the 3rd installment of 'The Courtship of Nellie Fisher' we find the answers to many of life's questions, no matter what our faith is. I'm looking forward to her next book!

This book was easy to read, being the 3rd book in a series. Beverly Lewis did a wonderful job summarizing the other 2 books into this story. Very well written story and great author.

This is a beautiful ending to a series by Beverly Lewis!! She is an outstanding Christian author!! I have all her books and cannot wait for the next one to come out!!

I received the book on Monday October 27, 2008, and I have read half of the book already. It is hard to put down because it is very interesting. I really enjoy all the Amish books and this book is great.
Great book. None more needs to be said. Its a must buy.

Beverly Lewis completely captures you into a different world, and to see and hear what that world was like and how they came to have a personal relationship with the Lord is amazing.

I bought The Longing by Beverly Lewis because I had read the first two books in the series and enjoyed them tremendously. Nellie has a new suitor that is a very appealing character, but you will be wishing and praying that Nellie and Caleb get back together even though it seems there is no hope for them. This last book in the series has a very satisfying and fullfilling end to Nellie's and Caleb's courtship and their lives in general. You will not be dissapointed.
