Not living in America, the first I heard & saw Dierks Bentley was on the CMA. He blew it out of the box with his live version of "Every Mile a Memory" and I was hooked. I had to have the cd with this song on it. I was not disappointed. Many times you buy a CD and there are only 2-3 really good songs. Not true in the case of the CD. Every song has the potential to be a #1 hit. His singing style is reminicent of Johnny Cash, in that Dierks Bently does not finish a word/lyric with an "up" note, rather goes down in key. I am a fan.

Long Trip Alone is right on par with Dierks Bentley's previous albums. It is sure to be enjoyed for a long time to come! From the fun, upbeat 'Free And Easy' to the soulful title track, this is destined to be a classic.....

Long Trip Alone is Dierks best yet!I love Dierks Bentley, but this album really knocks it out of the park. With songs that apply to everyday life for the average person, you will find yourself singing along after your first listen. If you haven't heard "Every Mile a Memory" yet, you must be living under a rock! While this is definitely a great song, it is just a taste of Dierks' brilliance on this album. If you are a fan of Dierks, you better buy two of this CD because you will wear it out!
