Long Distance Voyager by Moody Blues (The) (CD, Jul-1987, Threshold PGD)

Long Distant Voyager is another fantastic recording that showcases the groups proven sound and success! No songs to skip from start to finish. A breath of fresh air that keeps The Moody Blues at the top of all time great artists. Vocals and musical arrangement were certainly aimed at perfection, and was achieved...... If your into 80s trash rock, just go away.

The songs in this CD are GREAT. I play it all the time. I'm trying to get all the Moody Blues CDs and I'm totally happy with this purchase!

First of all, I have to state that I remember buying this album years ago when it had come out on vinyl. The CD sounds bright and really adds life to such favorites as "The Voice" and "Gemini Dream". This is not as well-known as other Moody Blues albums but was important as it marked the Moodies entry into the 80s- consequently, there's a lot of synthesizer sounds going on but not in an obnoxious way. Lesser known favorites such as "Talking Out Of Turn" will have you going back for more-- listens, that is.

THIS CD TAKES ME BACK TO MY VINYL DAYS OF THE 70'S. IT'S MUSIC AS GOOD AS IT GETS AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO LIKES GOOD PHILHARMONIC BACKING. THANKYOU FOR THE FOND MEMORIES AND THE SHEER MUSIC PLEASURE.

We had been unable to find this CD at any locations and no one said they could locate a copy of it. My husband was totally surprised when he unwrapped this CD. It has made his day. We were pleased with the timeliness of receiving this.

Average for the Moody Blues, but better than most artists' best CDs. This is the Moodys navigating their way through the MTV/drum machine/synthesizer-laden 80's. Not as great as "On The Threshold Of A Dream" or "Days Of Future Passed" or "A Question Of Balance", but worth a listen. Listen to Justin Hayward's unique vocals and ultra-tasteful guitar work!
