Lonesome Dove (2002, DVD)

Very well done. Good and popular actors. Like how it was broke into four parts. I saw it originally on TV and wanted a copy so I could watch it whenever I wanted.

Of all the great westerns this movie ranks in the top ten. I love the paring of Robert Duvalle and Tommy Lee Jones. They work well together. Two grizzled retired law men with an unbreakable code of right and wrong. This is an epic tale that is never boring. I bought this in dvd because I am updating my collection and replacing my vhs tapes with dvd. I would highly recommend buying this if you haven't already seen it and even if you have.

I read the book and wanted to see the movie, and it's a good one! This is one of the best made movies based on the book. Follows book very closely, the cast was great, and the scenery was gorgeous. It's a classic!

This has been one of the best purchases I have made. My husband has enjoyed watching it several times and says he knows this will be his go to movie when he wants to relax and enjoy TV.

By far the best western ever made!!!!!My teenage kids absolutely love it, we sit as a family and watch all four episodes at once. Its an all day movie!!!

A must see for every Robert Duvall fan - and a must see even for those who dont watch westerns! I didnt like them until Lonesome Dove! I havent received my copy yet - but I have seen the movie before and loved it so much I need to add it to my collection most definitely!

I bought this DVD for my husband. For our collection. The DVD came in perfect condition and we are both happy with our purchase.

I loved this movie, because it depicts the West as it was. You fell in love with each character, and they transport you back to their time. It makes you root for the underdog, and makes you feel deeply for each character when they experience pain.
I would highly recommend this DVD for anyone who loves the Old West, and wants to see it for the way it truely was.

Excellent actors; excellent story line, and just a great family movie. I wish we could see more done today. It is refreshing to find movies without bad language we too often see today in movies, music and tv. God bless all those involved in the making of such movies as this one. Excellent!

One of the great cowboy movies, great cast which influenced my decision to buy. Also a lot of great sceanary in this movie, lots of action and a really believable story line. I was compelled to watch again within just a few days and seen things I missed the first go around. a 5 star movie

Larry McMurtry is a fantastic writer. Lonesome Dove is simply one of the finest westerns of our time. Robert Duval and Tommy Lee Jones are as great of actors as were John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart. The book is as excellent as the movie. Usually if you read the book, and then see the movie, you don't recognize the story. In this case, it is word for word the same. Both are great!

A friend said it was his favorite show. So I thought I would give it a try and couldn't beat the price!!
