Typical Lonely Planet Book. AWESOME and RELEVANT
ead several other Lonely Plant books like Guatemala and Belize, and this one isas well done. Can always count on them for up to date (for printed materials) and relevant info. Perfect for the traveler who wants to really experience the country, not the typical "tourist" experience. Chapters broken down for quick reference. ALso sturdy construct which is nice when you have it stored in your backpack. I still shove mine in a ziplock since sudden rains are common in the jungle areas.
Nice coverage of the coffee and tobacco plantations (my interests) as well as the 20 hour Spanish instruction you can receive for $150 (includes residing in a local family home, meals and their taking you into places where you can practice your Spanish). Great book.
