I bought this book for a trip to Costa Rica. I have previously studied Spanish and just wanted it for a refresher. It did have lots of basic phrases, but it wasn’t very helpful in conversational Spanish. Also, it is geared for Spain, not the Spanish speaking Americas (North, Central, South). Useful if you know NO Spanish and need to squeak by, but wouldn’t recommend if you intend to try real conversations.
