An underated artist from the past

Let me start by saying that I think that Tony Carey is much underated artist who never really received the attention that he deserved. Carey is a great songwriter, singer and musician. His music and lyrics are often small stories about life in general.
I used to listen to his music a lot back in the 80’s when I was groing up.
Back then Tony Carey seemed to differ a bit from other melodic AOR Rock bands that where common at the time. I always felt that Careys songs and music stood out from the rest. But somehow I forgott about his music as the years past.
Then I bought this compilation CD and found out that it contains a lot of Tony Careys best recorded songs. The CD contains songs from all of Tony Carey’s solo albums, including I Won’t Be Home Tonight” and “Westcoast Summer Nights”(from his debut album). But the disc also contains a couple of songs from the Planet P Project, a Pink Floyd influenced band with Tony Carey on lead vocals. The only songs that I miss from his solo career on this CD are “A Room With A View” and “Heard It On the Radio” (from the “For You” album).
I really like this CD compilation and I do feel that Tony Carey’s music is as good now as it was back in the 80’s.
