Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell, Patrick Robinson (2008, Abridged, Compact Disc)

Riveting story. Written to give the reader a real sense of Lutrell's experience. It demonstrates the "DANCE" our soldiers must perform for political reason's, while our enemy does not have such constraints nor even the moral capacity to care. Shame on us!!!!

I thought this was a very well told account of Marcus Luttrell's ordeal in Afhganistan. I had orginallyhad this on reserve at the library, but the wait was too long and I decided to buy it on Ebay. Having this on audio was great, I could listen to it in my car on the way to and from work.
If you have any interest in what a military person goes through, than I encourage you to read this book! From his basic training/seal training it covers it all, and sets up for how he carries out his ordeal mentally and physically. I did hear next year there will be a movie coming out, how nice to have read the book first.

This is A Great Story, !! I Only Wish it Could have Followed the Book a little More, and left in Some of the Details, Over All. I Would have to give it an 8.5 out of 10. If you Get the Book on CD, You Have to Get the Book as well, After you listen to it, I find it is Nice to go back and Read, to fill in the Details, You will find a little of you in the LONE SURVIVOR, Enjoy.

This book is by far the best book I have ever read. It goes in to detail about the war in Afganistan and 4 of America's heroes. If you like reading military books or about our great Navy Seals, this book is for you. I finished it in 2 days. I couldn't put it down. I recommend that every American read this book so this piece of history will never be forgotten.
