London for Dummies by Donald Olson (2000, Paperback)

This is a good, thourough, guide for new visitors to London. It does a great job of describing attractions and sights. The museum section is helpful, too. You will definately want to purchase a guide book before going to London, and this one will take care of all your basic needs. If you are looking for information about sights that are off the beaten path, however, this book is not for you, as it contains mostly mainstream touristy information. I would have also liked to see more pictures in this book. Overall, it is worth checking out for your first visit!
