For those of you who slam this wonderful camera--SHAME ON YOU!! It is plastic, it started out as a toy, it's EASY to load and of course you do not know if you are taking pictures or not!! That is the whole beauty of it!! And when you get the roll developed, you will fall in love just as I did. It may take a couple of rolls to get used to this 60's dynamo, but hang in there. When you finally see the shots you took and notice the overwhelming color saturation, there will be no doubt left in your mind!!!

Great camera for capturing your life!

How glad I am with the remake of this splendid sixties toy camera! Yes, it is a toy camera, so use it as a toy: play with it. Play, play, play!!! Don't stop until you drop.

Try exposing slide film and have it cross-processed. The Lomo effect will be great! Learn to use the flash! You will benefit greatly from it. And please, read the manual. The camera is very easy to use and very forgiving, but reading the manual helps to get the best out of the Diana.

Yes, I play with it all the time. Using it as a toy to capture my life, but I have also used it professionally on commissioned work. No, not for slick packshot of perfume bottles. But it works great for those snappy shots of people.

This product looks more appealing to the eye online than it does in person.
For the price that this camera goes for it is just not worth it. This camera is fully plastic and seriously feels like a toy. With that said its so fleemsy that it also feels like it can break easily.
I also bought film for this camera and it was difficult to load. You have no idea if the camera is actually taking a picture or not.
As a collectable, I would buy a used and very cheap one, but not the re-made version. Its not worth the $90+ dollars.

  Diana Mini
Review created: 09/15/09

For anyone who has loved a Diana you will be over the moon with this little beauty. For those who hate everything to do with Dianas you won't be reading this.I was quite frankly not expecting anything like the quality of what emerged from the box.It is, as it should be, almost all made of plastic and it will need to be handled gently as all the old Dianas need to be.Nothing should be forced. The mechanics do everything a Diana should do and more eg there is a place to fit a cable release.Truly if you are to see and handle it you will not be able to resist having one of your own. The designer of this camera has excelled themself. It is destined to be an all time classic that is fun to have and above all to use.As with all Dianas it brings a way of reconecting with all the excitement and surprise that has gone with the onset of Digital Photography. Find one now!

I bought the Lomo Diana F+ Medium Format Film Camera Snow Cat model. The camera is wonderful, I bought it for her birthday. The whole transaction was great. I apologize for not responding to your questions immediately. Fantastic seller, plan on buying in the future. Thank you so much.

  The lomo Diana f+
Review created: 09/10/09

I love instant photos. Todays digital cameras that I am now so used to involve wires, up loading, installing, and finally printing (on a printer you usually have to buy extra). The Lomo Diana f+ is different. Its truely instant. And the photo quality is deifferent too. I'm not saying its gonna produce the clearest shots you've ever taken, or indeed be easy to set up, but the end result is truely beautiful.
I'm no expert at lomography or any art form, but with this camera I felt even as a complete beginner I could get some very good and interesting results.
This camera has definitely sparked an interest in photography for me.

Want cool images you can't print? Buy a Diana!
Review created: 09/08/09

I wanted offbeat images, but this camera scratches negatives so badly that they are unprintable. I've talked to 2 friends who also have Diana's and they mention the same thing. The Diana warranty is "only good in Japan". I had a Holga, and while the images were not as good (not much vignetting), the camera itself didn't scratch the heck out of the negative.
I would not buy a Diana again.

It is a camera used to experience new things with which leads to very interesting results.
I have a problem with the flash but I could solve
The rolls black and white wines that I do not work very well as opposed to color.

  Sounds good
Review created: 05/18/09(updated 05/18/09)

This item sounds great. They explain very well. I didn't actually buy this, I believe I bid and lost, so I'm not completely sure why I am being asked to write a review on something I never bought... Like I said, it's sounds great, that would be why I bid on it in the first place...

I love the camera, it works, I was so skeptical to buy a vintage camera online especially 'as-is' because of it's age.

It has the box, the flash unit, and a roll of film, great!

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter who loves it. The only issue is getting prints made. She was able to get the negatives developed but is still investigating ways to get prints. I know little about photography but she does so I'm sure she will figure it all out.
