I saw this book featured on a website and thought it sounded like a good idea. I made a rash decision to buy without really researching it any further.
I was very dissapointed with the content as it seems to be just a collection of sketches and ideas. There's no real direction or any good advice. The book just seems to emphasise the need to be creative!
Although there are a few very nice examples of Bob Gill's work, most of it isn't very good, and I don't see how maybe 50% of the end products would be approved as logos for large companies. I really couldn't take anything constructive away from the book, so I'd look for something different.
