Loggins & Messina - Live - Sittin' In Again at the Santa Barbara Bowl (DVD, 2005)

Very good quality DVD and sound. I love this bands music. The extra tunes from Saturday night special was amazing !!!

Very strong and amazing show. Excellent audio and video. True talent all the way around. What more can I say, buy it, you'll like it.

If you can't make it to one of their concerts, this DVD will give you the best seat in the house. The bonus songs enhance the experience by connecting with their original style (and hairdos) as they were just starting out in the early 70s.

These guys are truly gifted songwriters and musicians, and they surround themselves with other very talented musicians. One can watch and listen to this DVD over and over just to appreciate the depth of this duo's abilities.

I saw them at the Greek just before they went to Santa Barbara and they were fabulous. So when I heard they were doing a concert DVD I was excited about having that in my collection. The music is wonderful. The band is on the money and their voices are perfect. The song selection was outstanding and the length of the concert was incredible. The DVD extra was footage from the 1970's concert show, "The Midnight Special" and that was a rare treat. The biggest complaint I have about the DVD is in the editing. Every shot is 5 seconds or shorter and you never get to just watch the band play. It's like a two hour music video. It was very bothersome at times as the editing continully kept me moving. That was enough to have me only watch it once.

I attended this concert and I wanted a record of the event and a close-up of some of the performance details. The product is exactly what I wanted, and I got it. This DVD has more tracks than the CD. The value per $ spent is very high for me.

If you liked Kenny and Jimmy back in the early 70's, you will Love this DVD. It has a more refined sound and focuses in on every inch of the old Loggins and Messina, with the modern technology and up to date "state of the art" equipment, along with a very good band, to help them bring it all out... The old saying that they get better with age, like a "fine wine", definately is true with this DVD. They also have some songs, as an added bonus, of the old band from back in the old days.. That was fun to watch too. The outdoor concert starts out with the sun shinning and by the time its over, it is dark, which gives the stage lighting a SUPER effect.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... Just do it.....

From the first time I saw them in Carnagie Hall in the 70's, I have loved the music of Kenny Loggins & Jim Messina. So when I purchased the cd of the band's reunion at the Santa Barbara Bowl, I was so pleased to hear the original structure of their fabulous music turned out of the alchemical crucible of time, life, and
their separate journies merged back into the wholeness of all of them combined.

Just brilliant!

I bought this DVD because I see Kenny Loggins in concert all the time, but he doesn't seem to do a few of my favorite Loggins & Messina songs. I did see this concert, but in a different city, so I wanted to be able to see him perform these songs whenever I want.
