Llama Llama Mad at Mama by Anna Dewdney (2007, Reinforced Hardcover)

This is a gift for my daughter a teacher who finds it her favorite book for her new son to be! Wonderful reading and excellent illustrations sure to be a favorite for any child

This book is a great read for young children. My three year old loves this book. It is well written to hold the attention of preschoolers and portrays the characters feelings in a way that children can understand.

We loved Llama Llama, Red Pajama so I bought this one. It is just as cute as the first. My girls love these, and I don't mind reading them at all! I can't wait for the next one!! =)

My friend's little girl liked Red Pajama better, but I love this one. The characterization of the baby llama complaining his way through a shopping trip is perfect. He sleeps on the way there in his car seat and wakes up much like the toddlers I've know who didn't get their naps out: GROUCHY. He just wants to go home, but Mama Llama wants to shop. It is cute and tongue-in-cheek enough that even adults enjoy reading it several times.

Great book with lots of rhymes. Fun story line that preschoolers can relate to, shopping with mama when all they want to do is play. Wonderful illustrations.
