
GREAT BOOK! LL Cool J's Platinum Workout

I bought this book for my husband's birthday, because he's been into weight-training for years now, but recently started grad school and hasn't had as much time for it. I bought the book to get him re-motivated because he really admires LL Cool J and his determination in the weight room. The book is very organized with different sections for male or female, for weight training or recipes or for a quick weight loss in 30 days. Since using the book (for about a month now), I have gone from 146 to 138lbs, and my husband has gone from 244 to 228 lbs. What my husband and I like about this book is that it tells a story as well as defining specific things to do to lose weight and get heart-healthy. It's also very motivating, and tackles all of the excuses that we all make for not working out. There are lots of pictures, and the book is easy reading. My husband and I both has Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and are pursuing grad school in the medical field...and yet we are BOTH learning new things from this book. For the price, you're getting a steal and I have been recommending it to everyone I know who is interested in getting their body back into great shape.
