Synopsis
New to the neighborhood, 8-year-old Heather is not really sure she wants to be friends with neighbor Lizzie Logan. Lizzie is a little strange--she fishes in mud puddles, makes up stories about man-eating spider plants, and pretends to smoke cigarettes. When the girls have a fight, Heather realizes how important Lizzie's unusual friendship is to her.

When her family moves to a new neighborhood, Heather meets ten-year-old Lizzie Logan, whose brash and bossy ways make Heather wonder if they can ever be friends.
