LIving in the Material World- George Harrison
Review created: 06/02/07(updated 09/11/07)

George Harrison was a great songwriter and one of my favorite guitarists. He had a unique style, which certainly played a key role is his tenure as a Beatle. This album is crafted with brilliant, poignant songs. Living in the Material World displays more slide guitar than other Harrison albums. You can't not like George Harrison or the message his songs convey! I made the purchase because it was missing from my collection and I also got it at a great price from an excellent seller!

No Longer "Living in a Material World"
Review created: 01/04/07

Without a doubt, one of Rock music's greatest musicians and songwriters, was George Harrison. He personified what everyone should esteem to acheive as a person. So, as you can see, I think he was awesome. When this album came out, I had to have it. His slide guitar brings chills when I hear it and I can pick it out in other songs that I had no idea that he played on. "Give Me Love" was the most popular song on this compilation, but many songs grow on you if you give them an opportunity. People talk about, either John Lennon or Paul McCartney as "The Beatles" driving force, but I consider George as the cream of the Beatles churning his feelings into every song and making listeners taste the sweet flavor of his virtuosity. Even though he no longer graces our world, his legacy will long be felt every time his music is played or imitated by others, for generations to come.
