What can be said? this book is given number 2 - as a sequel to its predecessor. However unlike the common tendency of sequels (be it movies or saga-style books) - this one is even better than previous!
first of all of course - PHOTOS once again. they are larger, more detailed and if it is possible to say - more colorful. perhaps due to the better print?
those close-ups images (macro photos), enlarged several times of beetles' real size make a huge difference! perhaps even the most experience collectors familiar with all the species depicted in this book have never seen those "portraits" (http://www.living-jewels.com/details2.htm) ! colors and patterns of those beetles' heads are almost surrealistic - I'm inclined to believe more easily that it is some digitally generated wallpaper rather than REAL beetle, actually existing in NOW.
once again - BRAVO, Bravissimo to Poul Beckmann and his co-author Ruth Kaspin !
