Country Living Living With Folk Art

I find folk art to be fascinating and even though a lot of it is out of my price range I still enjoy seeing it. I also like Country Living magazine so I thought I would take a chance on this book. It has exceeded my expectations! It is FULL of wonderful color photos. There is so much to see in the photos that you can go through the book several times and discover new things each time. The text is very informative and goes well with the photos. The folk art that is in the photos and that is written about are items that can actually be found by the ORDINARY collector and a lot of it can be found for some pretty reasonable prices. Of course some of the items are higher priced items but it is still wonderful to see them. There are no prices listed in the book. The book is divided into different categories including origins of folk art and living with folk art which includes various rooms in a house-entries and halls, living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and bedrooms. There is a glossary, index and bibliography. It is a good reference book for those talented people who like to make their own folk art. I would say it is also a good book to use when decorating a home. I am very happy I bought the book. I will use it as a reference book and a book to just enjoy!
