Living with Ed - Season 1 (DVD, 2008)

If you are looking for information about Eco Friendly Living, but have no idea where to start, then this is the best video for you. While watching Ed and Rachelle Begley go through their every day life as a couple living Eco Friendly who happen to be living in the Hollywood region, we get to see them visiting with friends and finding other ways to become even more eco friendly. The balancing act is a lot of fun to watch. Even though they live in the Hollywood region, the show reminded me of the “Green Acres” (TV show that aired back in the late 60s and early 70s) but with a Eco Friendly twist to it. He’s a lot Eco and she is a little bit Hollywood. It make for a enjoyable show. You also get the benefit of their knowledge which is a gold mind of information. They actually put solar and other devices to their home and we can see how it really works. A lot better then any DIY show. The one thing I really like about this show is they are not “in your face” about living this way. They are more of a “try it, you might like it” attitude. There is even a friendly competition going on between Ed and … well, I don’t want to spoil it for you. I’ll just say there are several other “star” in the series of 6 episodes. I look forward to watching it over and over again.

We purchased the DVD Living With Ed after enjoying the show on television. It has been enjoyed by the entire family. It is an inspiration - we are trying to do better by the environment. It has many "green" ideas to try and is very enertaining as well. My daughter has loaned the DVD to her tech teacher at school to share with the class, since they are building solar food cookers in class. The DVD is now being enjoyed in the classroom. DVD - well worth buying.
