Lives of the Presidents Fame Shame & What the Neighbors

Very well written. Easy to read. Bought it for my sons school report. His report was on Presidents and we included this information, which we found in this book. SCHOOLS and STREETS are named after our presidents and we put their heads on our MONEY. Presidents are envisioned as larger-than - life leaders. We boast that any child can aspire to be a president.
This book shows what the PRESIDENTS were really like? Facts known about ALL the PRESIDENTS: have been (white), Most were wealthy, Most were well-educated, Most were members of the Protestant religion, Most were middle-aged, Most married to women who directed them.
This book shows how their neighbors see them? They saw who feet bigger than their egos, who barked like a seal, who hosted neighborhood Halloween parties, who dissected small animals, who could make the president eat food he did not like, who always had to be "it" during hide-and-seek.
Find out by reading this book who had: Warts, Bribed dogs with candy-coated vitamins, dined on popcorn, joked about date mummies, let mockingbirds eat from his own mouth, fought watermelon-seed wars, how many have died on the job.
This book is great for school reports or for history buffs or for your own enjoyment. Lots of color pictures.
