Liverpool 8 by Ringo Starr (CD, Jan-2008, Capitol/EMI Records)

If you are a "Ringo" or Beatle fan this CD is long overdue!! I am really glad Ringo is back in the GROOVE and think you will be as happy as I am with his latest CD. I am hooked on Liverpool 8 with Liverpool 8. Ringo sounds wonderful and looks really awesome with his new healthy lifestyle! Are you wishing of a reunion with Ringo and Paul as I am? Is it possible? What do you think?
RINGO FOR PRESIDENT!

There's no one making Beatles records any more, except Ringo. And who better than the lowly drummer? It doesn't lok like Paul is going to do it any time soon, so we have Ringo's muse, which isn't half bad. There's even a whistling solo on one tune. I'm glad Ringo still keeps the flame alive, and wish Paul would get together with him, before retirement or the next one of them dies...

This is a great album from a man that played the drums for the greatest rock and roll band on the planet. The best thing that Ringo did in the last few years was to hook up with Mark Hudson. Mark keeps Ringo rockin' like he should be. Paul McCartney could use Mark Hudson as a producer to bring him back to rock and roll. Ever since Ringo's Christmas album with Mark, Ringo's albums have rocked harder than any of the Beatles solo stuff in years. We don't want to have the two remaining Beatles to go soft on us. The only draw back on this album are the words to R U Ready. Ringo must learn that there is only one true living God. He has a son named Jesus. The buddah's and krishna's preach a man made false religion that will never get you to heaven. It's not OK to go down any road Ringo. Only one road is the right road. That's the road to the Father and the Son.

I bought it because I grew up with the Fab Four in the 1960's. Ringo was my favorite. About half of these songs are really pretty good, but the rest have a beat or arrangement that just works my last good nerve. too much tecno tweaking and not enough from-the heart- feeling.

Ringo has never been the best sinnger. But, he has always sang the best songs he had. He is the only living Beatle putting out songs right now.

You can hear his one of a kind drumming. That is why I brought it. And the song Liverpool 8 (named after the zip code for Liverpool) Is worth every penny of what you will pay for this CD.

Brand new in package. Great sound from one of the remaining Beatles. Bought after hearing him sing the title track on David Letterman.

this is one of Ringo's best CD's, contains original songs and is an example of fine perserverance. its not about the Beatles but about Ringo's solo career.

Liverpool I love you is a nastalgic walk back through the journey of the fab 4 and quite enjoyable for this man who grew up during the beatles reign....when all things seemed possible.
Although you won't find Ringo singing about yellow subs....or help from his friends...you will find it a feel good cd and I would highly recommend it...as one cut says...give it a try....

I am a disabled individual. It is extremely difficult for me to walk/leave the house. I have been a Beatles Fan since 1965.
I couldn't wait for Ringo's new CD to come out.
I shopped it over the internet quite intensely. Hughie Simon had the best deal by far.
