We last saw a solo album from KISS frontman Paul Stanley in 1978, when all four members of the band released an album at the same time - Live To Win makes Stanley the last of his KISS alumni to release a solo album since that time.
It's great to hear the famous Stanley voice for a complete album - standouts include the rocking title track, Bulletproof, It's Not Me and the cool track Lift.
The album actually sounds like a modernized continuation of his KISS solo album and is worth every penny.
The only noticable change that has happened over the last couple years is a slight change in Paul's voice. It seems quite a bit stronger and somewhat trained (for lack of a better word). Ever since Paul performed in Phantom of the Opera in Toronto (killer performances, by the way), his voice has gone to the next level, where it sounds like a theatre voice - more powerful with very strong articulation.

Paul Stanley-Live To WinThis is Paul Stanley's second solo cd, and it is a very good one by the way. The best songs are "Live To Win', "Wake Up Screaming", "Lift", "Bulletproof", and "Where Angels Dare". Paul's voice sounds more mature and crisp than a lot of his other Kiss cds. It almost sounds like he was singing like he was practicing for his opera plays that he did not too long ago on it. It does not sound like his 1978 solo cd, that is very good also. If you want a very good Paul cd with Bruce Kulick playing bass and John 5 from Marilyn Manson playing guitar on it, then you need to get this cd.

Whay I Like This CD? well for starters it's Paul Stanley's first solo album outside of KISS and since his first solo album with KISS inwhich he and fellow KISS members Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. some of the songs are Live To Win, Bulletproof, Everytime I See You Around and Wake up Screaming. Definitely a must for KISS Fans.

The Starchild still has his touch. Several of the songs on this cd sound like pure KISS songs, which gives hope for another KISS studio album. In my opinion, this solo venture sounds much better than the original "solo album" from Paul. Very good work from one of the best on Earth.

This CD from Paul Stanley co-founder of Kiss, shows that after 35 years, that he is still rockin' Bulletproof is a smash hit, and Lift I like it alot. Live To Win sounds just as strong. His days playing the Phantom of the Opera in Toronto, have paid off in leaps and bounds with his voice, it sounds more fuller and more sound to it on the tracks of this CD. If you like Kiss then this CD is a no brainer, because it sounds like Kiss but on a different level. I also liked Where Angels Dare, All About You, Everytime I See You Around, what a all around musical rock song track CD definately a number 1. You will be glad you got it. Still rockin Alive at 35 on tour.

I love this cd, i waited so long for it, i opened right away on the Post Office and while walking to my car i was wondering how it will sound; i put it into my car stereo and...WOW!!! What a great CD, i love the music...and the feeling on it, i really feel Paul is telling us a part of his life, and since feelings are universal i can say he is talkig about us. His voice sounds great. I bought this CD because i like all the Kiss songs that he has wrote and sang with them. Will come to play here on Mexico???, i hope so. Thank you Paul!!!

Paul's first solo effort since 1978 was too long in the making. Tracks such as "Live To Win", "Everytime I See You Around", and the terrific "Bulletproof" make this CD a must for every Paul and KISS fan. Can't wait for the next one!!!!!!

) If you liked Paul Stanley in 1978, you will like this one too. Not much has changed with Paul's rock n roll formula. Highlights include the title track "Live to win" & "Lift". Guitarist John 5 from Marilyn Manson plays guitar on the album. I just recently caught a live show from this solo tour and it was amazing. Live he played "Got To Choose" and many other Kiss classics. At times you could close your eyes and swear you were at a Kiss concert.
