I thought that live at mechanics hall was very interesting in the history of bill monroe. i knew that bill had a son james but I didnt know that he had a daughter and that she sang on one of his recordings.del mccoury is part of his band at this time and you can tell by his singing that he is still in the learning process with his voice.on this recording bill picks out an old friend from the audience and does a duet with him.If you are a bill monroe fan you will like this recording.if you are new to bluegrass you might not like it.
