Album Notes Personnel: Tanya Tucker (vocals); Ollie O'Shea (vocals, acoustic guitar, fiddle); Robert Chervrier, Porter McClister (guitar, background vocals); Robby Turner (steel guitar); Jay Weaver (bass guitar, background vocals); Jack Gavin (drums); Angela Doolie (background vocals). The onetime child star Tanya Tucker has seen her fair share of controversy, and made a few gossip columns in her four-decade-and-counting career, but, as this live set from the prestigious Fort Worth honky-tonk Billy Bob's proves, her performing instincts remain very much intact. Tucker's lengthy set features many of the songs that made her famous, including "Would You Lay With Me in a Field of Stone," "Blood Red and Going Down," and "Delta Dawn," all sung with the energy of a hungry newcomer. Though Tucker's raw, emotive musical style may have been supplanted by slicker, more pop-oriented country acts, on this showing she's still the real deal.
