This is a great CD. Yes it is Mono. Yes, they are live proformances. This is what the Beatles were without all the hype and commercial trappings. Just try and think of a group with as much individual talent ( none of this Supergroup stuff either). Everyone of them sings lead. Everyone of them write music. These guys didn't just show up one day in 1962. They had been playing togather for years before fame. This CD shows how well they fit togather - knew each other. The range of material on this CD remarkable - Rockabilly, country, rhythm and blues, and old standards. If you are older than 55, you must own this CD.

While waiting for 9-9-9 I came upon the song Some Other Guy. I read how this was the best copy of that song. Coupled with the fact that it was a Beatles album that i did not have, and the price was very nice, I went for it from old friend Amazon. I was not disappointed. Fast delivery, high quality condition, and add in the fact that it will be able to hold me over until 9-9-9, it was a good deal. By the way, the album is so good it will me over long past 9-9-9

Great opportunity to hear The Beatles sing a lot of tunes that you never knew were in their repertoire. It's also nice to hear different versions of the recordings whose notes have been etched in your brain for over 40 years. Nice booklet accompanying the set--everything factory-wrapped and perfect. A+ rating!

LIVE AT THE BBC IS AS FAB AS THE FAB 4. THIS IS A GREAT COMPILATION. THIS CD IS A MUST 4 EVERY BEATLES FAN. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE IT IN THEIR COLLECTION. JUST TAKE YOURSELF BACK TO WHEN THIS WAS ACTUALLY BEING BROADCAST LIVE ON BBC RADIO. MAN I WISH I WAS THEIR ROCK'N & ROLL'N TO THESE GREAT TUNES. TO ME THE BEATLES WERE A GIFT FROM GOD. THEY BROUGHT SO MUCH HAPPINESS TO ME PERSONALLY AND TO BILLIONS OF PEOPLE ACCROSS THE UNIVERSE. THEY ARE 2ND TO NONE. THEY HAVE MORE MILESTONES IN THEIR CAREERS THAN JUST ABOUT ANY OTHER MUSICAL GROUP IN HISTORY. SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & PURCDHASE THIS CD. I KNOW YOU WON'T REGRET IT. I enjoy Beatles. The seller sold CDs. Very honest and trustworthy seller. I strongly recommend him. The Cds arrived on time.

Most songs are great, some obscure, but if you love the Beatles and their Rock n' Roll roots, you have to have this album.

These are okay and show the talent of the beatles vocals and harmony but are sub par and i've heard most of them in one form or another already which makes me glad i got the cd for a bargain. The bare bones stuff is in my opinion mostly bare bones and not really as interesting as i expected. I think meeting george martin and going to abbey road lifted the beatles into a higher realm and of course the ensuing fame and riches added to their ability to better produce recordings with all of the trappings like orchestras and mixing and so on.Steve

i really prefer the cd and booklet as opposed to a digital download.

I had this CD but it broke. I appreciated the price, but on one of the CDs, it does skip a little.

A bare bones look at the early Beatles. Relaxed, no overdubbing...they were such a very good band, even then. I'm collecting all the Beatles music I can.

If you loved the Beatles then you will love all of these tunes from their earlier days in England. What magic to sit and listen and remninence.

What can you say about this CD. It's the Beatles! We discovered recently that the copy my husband has had for a couple of years was messed up pretty bad and would not play. The finish on the CD was coming off in places and in the places that it was coming off it would not play the music. I bought the CD to replace the one that was messed up.

I would say this album is a must for a fan that enjoys hearing the songs that do not have the finished production organization. The songs are bit more raw, which gives the listener insight into the Beatles immense talent. I would say this compilation album is not as good as Anthology 1 but very good still. The liner notes are pretty information filled and have some good pictures, but again the Anthology 1 is better. I would say if you enjoy hearing songs and cuts of songs that are not on albums you would enjoy listening to this compilation.

Great songs that I've never heard the Beatles sing before, also love hearing interviews with them, they still sound so fresh and funny 40 years later. Great CD!

Live @ BBC is a treasure...

It's one of my favourite Beatles LP. well, i really like it and recommend it to all Beatles fans. this is what these talented guys sounded like in a personal venue: a room at the BBC rather than studio and lots of over-dubs. They are so talented. Lennon's voice is so strong.

IT'S REALLY GOOD, THE QUALITY OF THE SOUNDS IS GREAT, IT ARRIVED IN GOOD CONDITIONS. I DO FEEL HAPPY AND SATIFIED WITH THIS PURCHASE FROM E BAY.

This is a really great Cd set. All of the songs that I love to sing along with,interviews, just a great set for any Collector. It makes you feel good. This is Music when music WAS music
