There will never be another ALICE...

Before the classic metal era was ushered out by the coming of Seattle's Nirvana and grunge, there was a band who kept one foot in the past and successfully bridged the gap between the two waves. That band was Alice in Chains.
Their musical sound was indeed harsh and raw and "grungy," but the melodic harmonizing between lead singer/writer Layne Staley and founder/lead guitarist/writer Jerry Cantrell was pure beauty. They took vocals to an entire new level. Add in incredible drumming by Sean Kinney and a fine bass played by Mike Inez, and you have a SUPERGROUP. Sharp, well-written lyrics over tight musicianship with an undeniably moving tone and mood.
Scorching versions of "Love, Hate, Love", "Rooster" and "Junkhead." All live, all perfect examples of how talented this band really was. Too bad Layne Staley had to die...
If you like hard rock with a hard edge and a eye on the darker side of life, you need look no further. Alice in Chains is rock group who can never be mimicked or repeated...
