Album Notes Personnel includes: Peggy Lee, Dave Barbour Orchestra & Woody Herman, Sonny Burke Orchestra, Johnny Desmond, Jeff Chandler, Andre Previn, Desi Arnez. This CD is made up of recorded broadcasts from radio shows such as "The Summer Electric Hour" which were hosted by Peggy Lee, and includes renditions of songs never commercially released and versions quite unlike the more familiar recordings. "Alone Together" is introduced as "one of the most beautiful ballads ever," and Peggy makes it so. The performance here is longer and more seductive than her Decca recording. "Jump Through the Ring," "Perfidia," and "Frenesi" feature entrancing Latin rhythms. Lee is joined by famous guests, such as Desi Arnaz who offers a wonderful "Similau" to his newborn daughter out in radio land, and is also heard in duets with Johnny Desmond, Woody Herman and Jeff Chandler. These performances are filled with good humor, good sound quality, and generally great music.
