Book was in very good condition and no writing on inside. Pages were not ruffled or bent - really a plus when it will be used as a gift.

This is a wonderful story about the stacking dolls and makes a great accompanying gift. The characters are good people, but something bad happens to one. In the end, the reader learns life goes on and can have a happy ending. The art is beautiful. The text includes repetition which children love.

The Littlest Matryoshka by Corinne Demas Bliss

I remember reading this story when I was little. It is a wonderful story about a set of Russian Matryoshka dolls that accidently lose their littlest sister. She goes on a journey and they are all reunited in the end. I also bought a set of dolls on Ebay similar to the one in the story and my students at school (2nd grade) keep reading the story and acting it out with the dolls. They also like saying the Russian names of the dolls. They love it. (And so do I)
